Growing up on the sand dunes surrounding St Ives Bay, I was always astonished by the sheer diversity in sky scapes. When I sat to create this piece I was intent on capturing my combined recollection of Hayle beach in one image. As this piece came together i realised that the contrails left by passing passenger planes were as important as the clouds and the birds. Contrails 1 is an original digital artwork produced by J. Vincent Nash. The artwork has been printed onto archival quality canvas which has subsequently been mounted onto a wooden panel. The art panel has been applied with a brush stroked gel layer to give the surface an authentic ‘painterly’ look and to offer the print surface additional protection from the environment. The reverse of the art panel is where the WPG backroom security is located. Finally the completed panel is mounted in a gallery frame.
