Cloud Spectrum 1
The skies above St Ives Bay are as diverse as any other seascape. On a brooding day in late September towards the backend of the 80’s, a curious combination of a rising storm, sunlight and distant drizzle set the cloud base ablaze with shimmering colour. It was a moment of spectacle so intense that it seemed to catalize my ongoing relationship with the environment and colour. Cloud Spectrum isn’t exactly what I saw but more a visual representation of how I remember feeling at the time. Do you remember a moment in life where colour became a conscious consideration in your life?
Thank you for your interest.

Cloud Spectrum 1 is an original digital artwork produced by J. Vincent Nash. The artwork has been printed onto archival quality canvas which has subsequently been mounted onto a wooden panel. The art panel has been applied with a brush stroked gel layer to give the surface an authentic ‘painterly’ look and to offer the print surface additional protection from the environment. The reverse of the art panel is where the WPG backroom security is located. Finally the completed panel is mounted in a gallery frame.
